Dental Implants
Dental implants are considered the best option to replace your missing natural teeth. At Laguna Pavilion Dental, we offer state-of-the-art dental implants for patients who want a modern, secure option for missing teeth.

Getting a missing tooth or teeth replaced is important to maintaining the appearance and function of your smile. Whether you’re missing one or several of your teeth, dental implants provide a durable, realistic, and lifelong replacement that’s easy to maintain.
When a gap is left by a missing tooth, the other teeth can shift to compensate for the loss, changing the alignment of your smile. Missing teeth can also result in jawbone loss, which can not only make the face appear less full and youthful, but can also reduce your candidacy for tooth replacement options.
At Laguna Pavilion Dental, we offer dental implants to keep your smile strong, beautiful, and healthy. Dental implants consist of a post that’s inserted into your jawbone. The implant is then finished with a realistic, durable, and functional dental crown. Dental implants are quickly becoming the standard for replacing missing teeth due to their strength and resilience, making them an effective lifelong replacement for missing teeth.
How Can Dental Implants Improve Your Smile?
There are many benefits that dental implants offer that other restoration options can’t. In addition to restoring the function and appearance of your smile, dental implants are able to offer benefits such as:
- Strength. Since dental implants fuse with your natural jawbone, they are just as strong as your natural teeth, allowing you to eat whatever you like without fear of your dental implant failing or falling out.
- Stain-resistance. Dental implants are topped off with dental crowns, which are made of porcelain ceramic. Dental crowns are more stain-resistant than your natural teeth, allowing you to better maintain your smile’s color over time.
- Longevity. One of the best benefits of dental implants is that they never need to be replaced. While the dental crown part of your implant will need to be replaced at some point, the implant is fused to your jawbone for life, meaning you won’t have to invest in further replacement options for your tooth.
- Low-maintenance. You take care of dental implants just as you would your natural teeth, and since they don’t need to be replaced every few years like some tooth replacements, you have a low-maintenance solution to your missing natural tooth.
- Resistant to tooth decay. Dental crowns can’t get tooth decay, so you won’t need to worry about your dental restoration being affected by decay—that being said, you still need to keep your dental implants clean and healthy for the best results!
- Regenerate jaw bone. When natural jawbone is lost, it can give the face a sunken or hollow appearance. With dental implants, your jawbone is actually regenerated, allowing you to restore and maintain your appearance.
When it comes to replacing your missing natural teeth, dental implants are often considered the best option due to their strength, longevity, and many other benefits!
What to Expect During Your Dental Implant Procedure
The dental implant procedure requires a few steps to ensure your implant is securely placed and ready to support a dental crown.
First, you’ll schedule a consultation with Dr. Sattout to see if you qualify for dental implants. If you’re a candidate, you’ll schedule a separate appointment to get the actual implant part of the dental implant placed in your jawbone. Once this part of the process is done, your implant will need to heal for a few weeks or a few months to ensure it’s properly fused with your jawbone. During this time, you may receive a temporary dental crown to maintain your appearance.
Once your dental implant is secure, Dr. Sattout will fit you for a custom dental crown that will accurately match the size, shape, and color of your remaining natural teeth. The dental crown will be made at an outside lab and take approximately two weeks. Once your dental crown is in, we’ll call you and let you know you can make an appointment for your final fitting.
After you come in for your dental crown fitting, Dr. Sattout will place the crown and ensure that the fit, color, and size are perfect. Then, you’re ready to enjoy your full dental restoration!
How to Know If You Qualify
In order to qualify for dental implants, you must have enough remaining bone in your jaw to support the implant. Generally, the longer you’ve been missing your natural tooth, the greater chances of bone loss will be. However, even if you don’t have enough jawbone to support the implant, you may still be able to qualify by getting a jawbone graft. Dr. Sattout can let you know more about your candidacy during your consultation for dental implants.
