How Are Composite Fillings Applied?
Getting a filling with composite resin is a lot like getting any other type of filling. Typically only local anesthesia is needed, and Dr. Sattout will remove any decayed or infected areas of your tooth. The tooth is then thoroughly cleaned and dried to support the bonding process between your tooth and the filling material.
Once the procedure is done, you’ll be able to return to your normal activities, although you will need to avoid eating until the numbness from the anesthesia wears off, which typically only takes about an hour.
